Day 1: SEPTEMBER 10
Departure
Overnight flight(s) from Toronto to Cologne, Germany. Complimentary in-flight service is provided en-route.

Day 2: SEPTEMBER 11
Arrival & Welcome Dinner
Upon clearing customs andimmigration, our tour manager anddrivers will transfer us to our hotelin Cologne.
AWAKEN SPECIAL EVENT
Once checked-in, we will enjoy a Living Truth welcome banquet dinner.A wonderful time to start the journeytogether in anticipation of a mostmemorable journey!

Day 3: SEPTEMBER 12
Private Rhine Cruise
After breakfast at the hotel,we begin a guided tour of the beautiful medieval City of Cologne, including a visit to the majestic cathedral. During the destruction of air raid bombings in WWII, the cathedral remained intact as allsurrounding buildings lay in ruins. The cathedrals twin spires are the largest in Europe at 157m in height.
Step back in time, as we walk through the narrow cobble stoned streets of the ‘Old Town.’
We board our private Rhine River cruise ship, The MS RHEIN MELODIE, in the afternoon. This will be our home for the next 7 days and is for the exclusive use of Living Truth passengers only.

Day 4: SEPTEMBER 13
Amsterdam
Today we enjoy a ‘Highlights of Amsterdam’ guided tour, including a boat tour on the famous canals. Evening options include visiting the cafes and shops of the old city centre, including Chinatown.
Later tonight, we set sail for our next stop, Nijmegen.

Day 5: SEPTEMBER 14
Nijmegen
Waking up in the oldest city in the Netherlands will be a highlight. Over two thousand years old, Nijmegen’s history can de dated as far back as the Roman era. Our guided city tour will animate its’ history and geographic importance. As we walk through the ‘Grote Markt’, you will see examples of
ancient Dutch architecture unique to the area.

Day 6: SEPTEMBER 15
Cologne
We return to Cologne for free time in the morning to explore more of this romantic and ancient medieval town.

Day 7: SEPTEMBER 16
Koblenz & Rhine Valley
A highlight of today will be the cable car experience to the Ehrenbreitstein Castle and its stunning panoramic views of the Rhine Valley as we visit the ancient City of Koblenz.
After lunch, we sail for Rudesheim while taking in the unique
geological rock formation of ‘Loreley’ along the way. The Vinter Express train ride through the vineyards and streets of this lovely town concludes our journey for the day.

Day 8: SEPTEMBER 17
Mannheim & Heidelberg
Our guided coach tour takes us to the ancient City of Heidelberg and its castle. The ruins of this important Renaissance stronghold (The Palace of Kings) take us back as far as the 13th century. Located on the Konigsstuhl hillside, it offers stunning views of the old town below. It was here that Martin Luther came to defend his thesis, the ‘Heidelberg Disputation’.
This evening we sail southwards to France.

Day 9: SEPTEMBER 18
Strasbourg & Kehl
With over a thousand years of history, Strasbourg Kehl is a strategically located city in the Alsace region, and has been sought after by many previous dynasties. We will visit the Place du Marché aux Cochons de Lait with its outstanding medieval architecture, the Gothic Cathedral and the picturesque Ravens Bridge.
Later this afternoon, we sail along the Rhine and make our way south towards Basel.

Day 10: SEPTEMBER 19
Disembark & Basel
We disembark from our Rhine River cruise ship and head for
Oberammergau. En-route to southern Bavaria, we will visit the beautiful Swiss City of Basel. During our guided walk of the famous cultural city, photo opportunities abound of the Mittlere Bridge and the many beautiful fountains. Interestingly, John Calvin fled here from France, where he wrote the first edition of ‘The Institutes’.
From Basel, we drive north to our Oberammergau hotel through the Bavarian countryside.

Day 11: SEPTEMBER 20
Oberammergau Passion Play
Today is dedicated to the Passion Play of Oberammergau! Free time in the morning offers the opportunity to peruse this world renowned village before taking our seats for the play. Performed solely by residents, this performance of Jesus’ final days in Jerusalem is the longest continuously running Christian drama in the world. During intermission, we will enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant.

Day 12: SEPTEMBER 21
Departure
Today, we say good-bye to Oberammergau and our new found friends. Air travel to Toronto includes complimentary in-flight service, and the opportunity to dream about your next Awaken journey!
